Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture: A Systematic Review of Impact Pathways to Nutrition Outcomes
This systematic review identified 43 studies evaluating the impact of nutrition-sensitive agriculture (NSA) interventions on nutrition outcomes relating to undernutrition and found that NSA interventions can significantly improve dietary practices. These positive outcomes are achieved through 5 main pathways: food production, agricultural income, nutrition-related knowledge, women’s empowerment, and strengthening of local institutions.
